Cavalry Course
I'm building a course on Cavalry, the procedural motion design tool. The focus is on how to think in systems rather than keyframes.
If you're coming to Cavalry from other animation tools, it can feel unfamiliar at first. There are a lot of layers, a lot of options, and a slightly different way of thinking underneath it all.
What I've come to like about Cavalry is that it doesn't replace direct animation. It just gives you more ways to work. Alongside keyframes, you can build motion through structure, patterns, rules, relationships, and behaviours.
That's the idea behind this course. To help you learn those building blocks one at a time, so the tool starts to feel less overwhelming and more useful.
The goal isn't to learn every layer. It's to understand the important ones well enough that you can reuse them, combine them, and move up a level of control as a motion designer.

Questions
Cavalry is a procedural motion design application. Instead of animating frame-by-frame, you build systems using duplicators, behaviours, and data connections. It's particularly good for generative graphics, data visualisation, and UI animation.
Motion designers who want to learn procedural techniques. Some After Effects or motion design background is helpful, but not required. The course starts from the basics and builds up.
